What are the top book trends in children’s literature for 2017? Last year it was all Harry Potter and the wizard world returning through the Cursed Child books 1 and 2, graphic novels, colouring-in books and superheroes. According to Scholstic.com, the key words this year are: kindness, humour, modern classics, reinvented classics and the growth of factual sources of information. Sounds intriguing.
Our children are going to have to learn how to differentiate between factual sources of informantion and the fake news and facts that abound – mainly on the internet. For more insight check out Scholastic’s blog page.
