We ♥ book nooks

The way you display your books makes reading more fun and accesible for children. The often gorgeous book covers can also be part of your decorating scheme, acting as mini posters which can be rearranged whenever you want.

A big bookshelf jam-packed with a mix of books means lots of entertainment but it may also mean children can’t see the books, often forgeting to read them. Try a display bookshelf next to their bed with books they are currently loving and reading. Refresh every now and then so the forgotten books on the shelf get a chance too.

And sometimes a basket is the best storage system – so you can lug the books around from room to room!

Find out how to make your own shelf like the one below on HandmadeCharlotte.com  or Home Dzine.

So it is with children who learn to read fluently and well: They begin to take flight into whole new worlds as effortlessly as young birds take to the sky.
