Map it out

Reading opens up your mind to a world of wonder and intrigue, adventurers and dramas, travel and escape.  Once children start learning about places called Timbuktu and Alaska, it’s good to encourage them to find out where they are in the world. Invest in a good World Atlas, use these gorgeous place mat maps from LoveLettersStationery and hang a huge world map in their play room, bedroom or kitchen area. If a book is set in the Scottish Highlands let them plot it on the map. Bring it closer to their own lives and pin where their cousins or friends overseas live.  Where is the equator?  How big is China?  Where is Hawaii? And where can I go to escape this chilly winter weather!? Main-Wallpaper-Main1
